Abstract

Tema ovog preglednog rada jest psihičko nasilje nad djecom. Kroz pregled literature daje se detaljniji uvid u specifičnosti ovog čestog, ali teško prepoznatljivog i uočljivog oblika nasilja. Zbog toga što žrtve zapravo ne shvaćaju da se nad njima vrši psihičko nasilje pomoć se rijetko traži pa djeca odrastaju u nasilnoj i nepoticajnoj okolini.
Ovaj pregledni rad potpuno je fokusiran na psihičko nasilje. Prvo se pojašnjava razlika između emocionalnog i psihičkog nasilja što je u literaturi često predmet rasprave i razilaženja. Potom se mogu pronaći informacije o počiniteljima, pojavnim oblicima psihičkog nasilja nad djecom, rizičnim i zaštitnim čimbenicima za doživljavanje psihičkog nasilja te posljedicama. Pregled dosadašnjih istraživanja prikazuje čestinu doživljavanja psihičkog nasilja te se fokusira i na spremnost stručnjaka i studenata pomažućih profesija na rad s psihički zlostavljanom djecom. Uloga socijalnih radnika u slučajevima psihičkog nasilja velika je i značajna te je prikazano kako se uspostavlja surađujući odnos s djecom i roditeljima. Prevencija je važna stvar jer se samo na taj način može smanjiti učestalost psihičkog nasilja. Uz teorijski dio rada, navedeni su i statistički podaci za 2022. godinu o počinjenju psihičkoga nasilja.

Abstract (english)

The topic of this review paper is psychological abuse of children. Through a review of the literature, a more detailed insight is provided into the specifics of this common but difficult to recognize and detect form of abuse. Because victims often do not realize that they are being subjected to psychological abuse, help is rarely sought, and children grow up in a violent and non-stimulating environment.
This review paper is entirely focused on psychological violence. It first explains the difference between emotional and psychological violence, which is often a subject of debate and disagreement in the literature. Then, it provides information about the perpetrators, the forms of psychological violence against children, risk and protective factors for experiencing psychological violence, and the consequences. A review of previous research shows the frequency of experiencing psychological violence and also focuses on the readiness of professionals and students in helping professions to work with psychologically abused children. The role of social workers in cases of psychological violence is significant, and it shows how a collaborative relationship with children and parents is established. Prevention is crucial because only in this way can the frequency of psychological violence be reduced. In addition to the theoretical part of the paper, statistical data for the year 2022 on the occurrence of psychological violence are also provided.
