Abstract

U radu će se prikazati pravo na podnošenje pritužbi Europskom ombudsmanu kao temeljno pravo građana Europske unije. Prikazat će se osnivanje tijela Europskog ombudsmana, način, postupak izbora te njegove nadležnosti u obavljanju poslova. Osobita pozornost posvećuje se analizi vrsta pritužbi kroz prikaz godišnjih izvješća te postignutim rezultatima i stopama prihvaćanja prijedloga koje Europski ombudsman daje institucijama Europske unije. U zaključku rada ukratko se iznose analizirane vrste i izvori pritužbi te se naglašava cilj, važnost i svrha institucije Europskog ombudsmana.

Abstract (english)

The paper will present the right to lodge complaints with the European Ombudsman as a fundamental right of citizens of the European Union. The establishment of the body of the European Ombudsman, the manner, the selection procedure and its competences in carrying out tasks will be presented. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of the types of complaints through the presentation of annual reports and the results achieved and the rates of acceptance of proposals that the European Ombudsman gives to the institutions of the European Union. The conclusion of the paper briefly presents the types and sources of complaints and emphasizes the goal, importance and purpose of the institution of the European Ombudsman.
