Abstract

Cilj ovog rada bio je pružiti sažet, a cjelovit pregled integrativne psihoterapije kao novijeg pristupa u djelatnosti psihoterapije te pružiti uvid u prednosti koje bi edukacija iz ovog pristupa imala u radu socijalnih radnika. Kroz povijesni pregled pruža se uvid u inicijalnu potrebu za integracijom rastućeg znanja o ljudima i njihovim potrebama te nužnost pronalaska zajedničkog jezika između različitih pristupa u psihoterapiji kako bi se klijentima pružila što učinkovitija i obuhvatnija pomoć. Navedeno se može postići kroz kreiranje individualnog tretmana obzirom na potrebe i karakteristike svakog klijenta te kroz potpunu uključenost terapeuta u odnosu terapeut-klijent. Upravo su ovo jedne od osnovnih pretpostavki integrativne psihoterapije koju je među prvima opisao dr. Richard Erskine, a osim toga ističe važnost razvojne utemeljenosti i relacijske usmjerenosti kako bi se izbjeglo eklektičko miješanje psihoterapijskih pristupa. Kroz korištenje metoda i tehnika integrativne psihoterapije socijalni radnici mogu unaprijediti svoje komunikacijske vještine, primjenjivati holistički individualizirani pristup, koristiti alate za rad s traumama i mnoge druge te na taj način pružiti kvalitetniju i cjelovitiju pomoć svojim korisnicima.

Abstract (english)

The aim of this paper was to provide a concise yet comprehensive overview of integrative psychotherapy as one of the newest approaches in the field of psychotherapy as well as to offer insights into the benefits that education od integrative psychotherapy could bring to the field of social work. Through a historical overview the author provides insight into the initial need for integration of growing knowledge about people and their needs, as well as the necessity of finding a common language among different psychotherapeutic approaches in order to provide the clients a more effective and comprehensive help. All of this can be achieved through the treatment plans that are individualizes and based on the needs and characteristics of each client and through sensitive involvement of the therapist in the client-therapist relationship. This happen to be some of the fundamental characteristics of integrative psychotherapy, initially described by dr. Richard Erskine. He also emphasized the importance of remaining developmentally-based and relationally-focused in order to avoid eclectic mixing of psychotherapy theories. Using methods and techniques form that integrative psychotherapy provides social workers can improve their communication skills, apply holistic individualized approach, use tools for working with traumas and much more, thereby offering higher quality and more comprehensive help to their clients.
