Abstract

Neprofitne organizacije su organizacije koje imaju svrhu i ciljeve usmjerene prema ostvarivanju društvene dobrobiti, a ne stvaranju financijske dobiti. One se razlikuju od profitnih organizacija, poput tvrtki, koje imaju za cilj generiranje profita za vlasnike ili dioničare. Specifičnost neprofitnih organizacija proizlazi iz njihove svrhe koja može biti raznovrsna, uključujući humanitarni rad, socijalnu skrb, zaštitu okoliša, promicanje kulture, zdravlja, obrazovanja i mnoge druge područja. One često rade na zadovoljavanju potreba i interesa zajednice ili određene skupine ljudi. Cilj ovog rada je istražiti i analizirati specifičnosti menadžmenta neprofitnih organizacija. Fokus će biti na razumijevanju karakteristika, izazova i najboljih praksi u vođenju i upravljanju organizacijama koje imaju društvene ili humanitarne ciljeve. Upravljanje neprofitnim organizacijama može biti izazovno jer su one često suočene s ograničenim resursima, potrebom za usklađivanjem s propisima i standardima te potrebom za postizanjem pozitivnih društvenih utjecaja. Menadžment u ovim organizacijama obično uključuje planiranje i provedbu projekata, mobilizaciju resursa, upravljanje volonterima, suradnju s dionicima te praćenje i evaluaciju rezultata rada.

Abstract (english)

Nonprofit organizations are organizations that have a purpose and goals focused on achieving social welfare rather than generating financial profit. They differ from for-profit organizations, such as companies, which aim to generate profit for owners or shareholders. The specificity of nonprofit organizations arises from their purpose, which can be diverse, including humanitarian work, social care, environmental protection, cultural promotion, health, education, and many other areas. They often work to meet the needs and interests of communities or specific groups of people. The aim of this work is to explore and analyze the specificities of nonprofit organization management. The focus will be on understanding the characteristics, challenges, and best practices in leading and managing organizations with social or humanitarian objectives. Managing nonprofit organizations can be challenging as they are often confronted with limited resources, the need for compliance with regulations and standards, and the need to achieve positive social impacts. Management in these organizations typically involves project planning and implementation, resource mobilization, volunteer management, stakeholder collaboration, and monitoring and evaluation of outcomes.
