Abstract

U radu se opisuje i analizira koncept političkih skandala. Tako se, najprije, u prvom redu razmatraju pojmovi politike, etike i morala te njihov uzajamni odnos. Također, posebna pažnja pridaje se političkoj korupciji kao pokazatelju da je nešto u demokratskom društvu pogrešno. U okviru rasta korupcije proučava se politička odgovornost. Osobita pozornost posvećuje se pojavi, vrstama i posljedicama koje politički skandali ostavljaju na demokraciju. Detaljno se analiziraju primjeri političkih skandala kroz praksu velikih europskih zemalja. Nadalje, u radu se ističe kako su afere hrvatske politike većinom povezane uz korupciju te ona predstavlja temeljni problem za hrvatsko društvo. S obzirom na postojanje političkih skandala i afera u suverenim državama ni institucije Europske unije nisu imune na kršenje pravilnog postupka i neetično ponašanje.

Abstract (english)

The paper describes and analyzes the concept of political scandals. On the beginning of this work the concepts of politics, ethics, moral and their mutual relationship/interactions are studied. Also, special attention is paid to the political corruption as an indicator that something is wrong in a democratic society. Acronym of political responsibility is becoming more and more known with the rise of corruption in modern societies. Particular attention is paid to the emergence, the types and the consequences which political scandals leave on democracy. Examples of political scandals are analyzed in detail through the practice of important European countries and developed democracies. Furthermore, the paper points out that Croatian political scandals are mostly related to corruption which is a fundamental problem of Croatian society. Given the existence of political scandals in sovereign states, the European Union institutions are also not immune to breaches of proper procedure and unethical behavior.
