Abstract

Iako se u posljednjem desetljeću povećao broj studenata s invaliditetom u sustavu visokog obrazovanja u Republici Hrvatskoj, njihov udio u studentskoj populaciji, kao i uspješnost u studiranju i dalje je niža od studenata bez invaliditeta. U raznim istraživanjima kvalitete visokog obrazovanja studenata s invaliditetom ističe se potreba za sustavnijom formalnom podrškom putem veće informiranosti, kompetentnijih nastavnika, prilagođenih obrazovnih materijala i zadovoljavanja drugih specfičnih potreba ovisno o vrsti invaliditeta. Cilj ovog istraživanja bio je istražiti i opisati iskustva studenata s invaliditetom s podrškom tijekom pripreme za studij i pohađanja studija iz perspektive studenata s invaliditetom Studijskog centra socijalnog rada. Rezultati kvalitativne analize pokazali su važnost podrške obitelji i važnost sveučilišne i fakultetske formalne podrške te određene neujednačenosti u pruženoj podršci od strane nastavnog i nenastavnog osoblja te kolega na fakultetu. Za kraj su ponuđene preporuke studenata s invaliditetom za unaprjeđenje kvalitete studiranja koje se odnose na građevinsku adaptaciju zgrade fakulteta i potrebu za dodatnim informiranjem i educiranjem akademskog okruženja.

Abstract (english)

Although the number of students with disabilities in the higher education system in the Republic of Croatia has increased in the last decade, their share in the student population, as well as their academic performance, is still lower than that of students without disabilities. Various research on the quality of higher education for students with disabilities highlights the need for more systematic formal support through greater information, more competent teachers, customized educational materials and meeting other specific needs depending on the type of disability. The aim of this research was to investigate and describe experiences of students with disabilities with support during the preparation for study and for the duration of the study from the perspective of students with disabilities of the Study Center of Social Work. The results of the qualitative analysis showed the importance of family support and the importance of university and faculty formal support, as well as certain inequalities in the support provided by teaching and non-teaching staff and colleagues at the faculty. Finally, the recommendations of students with disabilities are related to the construction adaptation of faculty buildings and the need for additional information and education of the academic environment.
