Abstract

Tema ovog diplomskog rada je siromaštvo osoba s invaliditetom. Siromaštvo je dugotrajan i globalan problem, a kao jedna od rizičnih skupina ističu se upravo osobe s invaliditetom. Da bismo bolje razumjeli značenje siromaštva, prikazane su teorije siromaštva, pokazatelji siromaštva te problematika pojmovnog određenja siromaštva. Cilj ovog preglednog rada je napraviti sustavan pregled dosadašnjih istraživanja o siromaštvu osoba s invaliditetom te na temelju toga doći do induktivnih zaključaka. Siromaštvo je složena i višedimenzionalna pojava. Svrha ovakvog preglednog rada je ta da na jednom mjestu se prikaže pregled relevantnih domaćih i stranih istraživanja o siromaštvu osoba s invaliditetom te društvena senzibilizacija o problemu siromaštva osoba s invaliditetom. Metoda korištena u pisanju ovoga preglednog rada je analiza sadržaja dosadašnjih znanstvenih radova i istraživanja. Osobe s invaliditetom u mnogim zemljama su prepoznate kao osobe s visokim rizikom od siromaštva i socijalne isključenosti, a između siromaštva i invaliditeta postoji uzročno posljedična veza. Siromaštvo može biti uzrok invaliditeta, ali i obratno, invaliditet može voditi ka siromaštvu. Nadalje, rad se bavi nezaposlenošću i obrazovanjem kao glavnim izvorima siromaštva. Na kraju se naglašava uloga socijalnog radnika unutar problematike siromaštva te su nabrojana prava i usluge koje osobe s invaliditetom mogu ostvariti prema Zakonu o socijalnoj skrbi kao glavni izvor pomoći.

Abstract (english)

The topic of this final paper is poverty of people with disabilities. Poverty is a long-term and global problem and people with disabilities stand out as one of the risk group. To help us understand the concept of poverty, there are presented theories of poverty, indicators of poverty and the issue of conceptual definition of poverty. The aim of this review paper is to make a systematic review of previous research on poverty of persons with disabilities and to do inductive conclusions based on that. Poverty is a complex and multidimensional phenomenon. The purpose of this review is to present in one place an overview of relevant domestic and foreign research on poverty of persons with disabilities and social awareness of the problem of poverty of persons with disabilities. The method used in writing this review paper is the analysis of the content of previous scientific papers and research. People with disabilities are recognized in many countries as people at high risk of poverty and social exclusion, and there is a causal link between poverty and disability. Poverty can be a cause of disability, but conversely, disability can lead to poverty. Also, the paper deals with unemployment and education as the main sources of poverty. Finally, the role of the social worker within the issue of poverty is emphasized, and the right and services from the social welfare system to which they are entitled under the Social Welfare Act are cited.
