Abstract
Napretkom znanosti u mnogim područjima, a osobito u medicini, kao i poboljšanjem uvjeta života - produžio se i životni vijek ljudi. Starost je razdoblje koje dolazi pod kraj života i prate ga različite psihičke i fizičke promjene. Tijekom života osobe se prilagođavaju različitim situacijama u kojima se nađu, suočavaju se s promjenama slike o sebi i mijenjaju svoj svakodnevni način života i navike. U ovom radu će biti riječi o različitim ulogama koje osobe preuzimaju starenjem, na koji način ulazak u starost oblikuje njihov svakodnevni život i kako njihova starost oblikuje društvo i ljude.
Abstract (english)
Progress of science in many different fields, especially in medicine, and improvements of life conditions has resulted in extension of human lifespan. Old age is a period that comes in the end of life and is followed by different mental and physical changes. Through life people adjust to different situations they found themselves in, they face self-image change and change their everyday lifestyle and habits. This paper reviews different roles people adapt to while getting older, how the transition to old age form their everyday life and their age shape society and people.
