Abstract

Uzimajući u obzir dinamiku životnih promjena i količinu izazova s kojima se studenti suočavaju u svakodnevnom životu, savjetovanje može biti efikasna metoda podrške i pomoći u suočavanju s poteškoćama. Značajna je uloga savjetovanja u preventivnim modelima podrške za studente. Kako bi se pružila podrška u prilagodbi i procesu razvoja koji studenti prolaze, te kako bi se spriječio razvoj težih problema, potrebno je pravovremeno uočiti promjene i reagirati. Savjetovanje ovdje može igrati značajnu ulogu s obzirom da je kao metoda podrške usmjerena procesu rasta i razvoja osoba suočenih sa različitim teškoćama. Međutim, ono što otežava donošenje odluke o javljanju u savjetovalište i traženje podrške kroz proces savjetovanja , je još uvijek prisutna stigma i nesigurnost oko traženja pomoći ovog tipa. Cilj ovog rada je istražiti ulogu savjetovanja kao metode podrške i prikazati učinak koji donosi studentima u procesu stjecanja visokog obrazovanja. Uz to, naglasak je također stavljen na prikaz izazova koje akademsko obrazovanje sa sobom donosi.

Abstract (english)

Considering the dynamics of changes happening in life and the amount of challenges that students face in everyday life, counselling can be an efficient support giving method as it can help deal with difficulties. Counselling has a significant role in preventive models of support for students. In order to provide support in adjustment and process of growth that students go through, and prevent development of harder problems, it is necessary to recognize hardships as soon as possible and react on time. Counseling can play a significant role as it is method of support directed to the process of growth and development of people faced with various difficulties. On making the decision whether to visit a counsellor and seek support through process of counselling, negative effect has the still existing stigma and insecurity about this kind of help. The goal of this paper is to expolore role of counselling as a support giving method and show possible positive consequences that it can bring to students during their process of getting a higher education. Moreover, emphasis is placed upon challenges that are brought upon by academic life.
