Abstract

Rad govori o razvodu braka koji se zadnjih desetljeća značajno povećao, te kako razvod braka utječe na mentalno zdravlje djece, odnosno adolescenata. U zadnje vrijeme više je rastavljenih nego sklopljenih brakova, a većina brakova koja se rastavlja ima barem jedno dijete. Pojavnost mentalnih poremećaja je u porastu kod djece i adolescenata te predstavlja velik izazov za javnozdravstvenu zaštitu. Problemi mentalnog zdravlja su brojni te obuhvaćaju pojavu depresije, intelektualnih poteškoća, rizičnog ponašanja i dr. Osjećaj bliskosti i pripadanja obitelji osnažuje odnose u obitelji. Djeca iz razvedenih obitelji imaju gori školski uspjeh, probleme u ponašanju i manjak socijalne kompetencije ( Amato, 2000. )Po nekim drugim istraživanjima nisko samopoštovanje djece i adolescenata jedno je od najčešćih rezultata ispitivanja kratkoročnih posljedica razvoda braka (Lacković-Grgin, 2000.prema Martinčić, 2005. )U nekim istraživanjima nisu utvrđene nepovoljne posljedice razvoda, odnosno, u literaturi je još uvijek otvoreno pitanje čemu pripisati probleme koji se javljaju, samom razvodu braka ili nepovoljnim iskustvima koja su djeca doživljavala u obitelji prije razvoda braka. Na kaju rada razmatra se uloga socijalnog radnika u ublažavanju posljedica razvoda braka na adolescente.

Abstract (english)

The paper talks about marital divorce that has increased significantly in the last decades, and how divorce affects the mental health of children or adolescents. Recently, there are more divorced than married marriages, and most marriages being divorced have at least one child. The appearance of mental disorders is increasing with children and adolescents and represents a major challenge for public health protection. Mental health problems are numerous and include the occurrence of depression, intellectual disability, risk behavior, etc. The feeling of closeness and family affiliation strengthens family relationships. Children from divorced families have worse school success, behavioral problems and lack of social competence (Amato, 2000). Some other researches show low self-esteem among children and adolescents as one of the most common findings of the short-term consequences of divorce (Lacković-Grgin, , 2005.) In some studies, there is no effects of divorce have been established, and it is still an open question in the literature to what ascribe the issues: to that the divorce itself or the unfavorable experiences that children experienced in the family before the divorce. At the end of work the role of a social worker is considered in the mitigating the consequences of divorce on adolescent.
