Abstract

Razvod braka je u današnjem društvu sve učestalija pojava zbog koje sve više djece odrasta
uz razvedene roditelje. Proces razvoda predstavlja na ljestvici životnih događaja izuzetno
stresan događaj, te kao takav ostavlja različite posljedice na djecu koja su ga doživjela. U
ovom radu prikazani su rezultati kvalitativnog istraživanja provedenog metodom intervjua sa
sedmero razvedenih roditelja s kojima djeca žive nakon razvoda. Cilj istraživanja je dobiti
uvid u iskustvo roditelja o prilagodbi djece na razvod braka. Tematskom analizom sadržaja
građe intervjua dobiveni su rezultati istraživanja koji opisuju roditeljsku percepciju dječjih
reakcija na razvod braka. Tako roditelji navode da su djeca prilikom saznanja za razvod
reagirala šokom i iznenađenjem, da su prošla kroz fazu iskazivanja ljutnje te da su na kraju
prihvatili novonastalu situaciju. Nadalje, rezultati su pokazali da su roditelji prepoznali
najviše teškoća u prilagodbi djece na situaciju razvoda zbog odvajanja od drugog roditelja te
činjenice da više ne žive zajedno kao obitelj. S druge strane kao olakšavajući čimbenik
prepoznaju potporu i podršku obitelji i prijatelja. Zaključno, u radu je naglašeno da razvod
braka roditelja nesumnjivo utječe na dječju dobrobit te da je podrška obitelji, prijatelja, a
ponajprije i samih roditelja, izrazito važna kako bi se djeca što bolje prilagodila situaciji te
osjećala što manje negativnih posljedica razvoda braka roditelja.

Abstract (english)

Divorce is in today's society more and more prevalent due to more and more children are
growing up with divorced parents. The process of divorce represents the scale of life events
extremely stressful event, and as such leaves different effects on children who have
experienced it. In this paper, the results qualitative research through interviews with seven of
divorced parents with whom the children live after the divorce. The goal of the research is to
gain insight into the experiences of parents on children's adjustment to divorce. Thematic
content analysis of the interview material obtained by the research results that describe
parental perceptions of children's reactions to divorce. Parents indicated that children while
learning about the divorce reacted with shock and surprise to have passed through the stage
of expressing anger and that they ultimately accepted the new situation. Furthermore, the
results showed that most parents recognize the difficulty in adapting to the situation of
children of divorce because of the separation from the other parent and the fact that they no
longer live together as a family. On the other hand, as a extenuating factor to recognize the
support and the support of family and friends. In conclusion, the paper points out that the
divorce of parents undoubtedly affects children's well-being and that the support of family,
friends, and above parents themselves, extremely important to help children to adjust to
situations and felt as few negative consequences of divorce of parents.
