Abstract

Multimodalni transport kao suvremeni način transporta, uspješno povezuje različite prometne grane na međunarodnim prometnim koridorima i ne može postojati kao zasebna tj., samostalna prometna grana, već djeluje isključivo kao složeni prometni sustav. On je usko povezan sa „revolucijom kontejnera“ koja započinje 1960-ih i 1970-ih godina 20. stoljeća, nakon koje započinje njegov ubrzan razvoj. Jedna od specifičnosti multimodalnog transporta i prometa je ta da se operator multimodalnoga transporta i primatelj robe nalaze u različitim državama, a da se prijevoz robe obavlja s najmanje dva različita prijevozna sredstva, odnosno da u takvome transportnom procesu sudjeluju najmanje dvije različite grane prometa. Stranke ugovora su operator i pošiljatelj robe, stvari ili tereta. Multimodalni transport, povezujući nekoliko načina prijevoza, omogućuje brže, lakše i ekonomičnije prevoženje predmeta prijevoza od pošiljatelja do primatelja posredstvom operatora multimodalnog transporta. Operator organizira prijevoz robe, snosi odgovornost za cjelokupni transportni pothvat i za osobe koje angažira prilikom njegovog izvršenja i to od trenutka kada je preuzeo pošiljku sve do trenutka kada je pošiljku isporučio primatelju. Europska Unija kontinuirano radi na izgradnji potrebnih prometnica i njihovom povezivanju u jedinstvenu mrežu prometnica (Trans-European Network-Transport).

Abstract (english)

Multimodal transport, as a modern mode of transport, successfully connects different types of transportation on international corridors and therefore, it cannot exist as a separate or independent transport type, but acts exclusively as a complex transport system. It is closely linked to the “container revolution” that started in 1960s and 1970s, after which began its rapid development. One of the specifics of multimodal transport and traffic is that the operator of multimodal transport and the recipient of goods are located in different countries, and that the transport of goods is performed with at least two different means of transport and that there are at least two different types of transport involved in the transport process. Parties to the contract are operator and sender of things, goods or cargo. Multimodal transport, connecting several modes of transport enables faster, easier and more economical transportation of transport items from sender to recipient by means of operator of multimodal transport. Operator organizes the transport of goods and is responsible for entire process of transportation and for the persons he engages in its realization from the moment he took delivery of the shipment until the moment he delivered the shipment to the recipient.
European Union is continuously working on the construction of the required roads and connecting them into a unique road network (Trans-European Network-Transport).
