Abstract

Roditeljstvo LGBT osoba važna je tema koja je u zadnje vrijeme počela dobivati svoje mjesto i u javnom prostoru, stoga će u ovom preglednom radu biti govora o različitim segmentima ovog višeslojnog fenomena. U prvom dijelu govorit će se o povijesti same LGBT populacije i terminologiji te o zakonodavstvu u svijetu i Hrvatskoj koje izravno utječe na život LGBT osoba, a osobito na roditeljstvo. U središnjem dijelu govorit će se o LGBT obiteljima: oblicima roditeljstva, odnosno načinima na koje LGBT osobe postaju roditelji, zatim će biti nešto više govora o dvije u literaturi najzastupljenije skupine-istospolnim majčinskim i istospolnim očinskim obiteljima. Nadalje, prikazat će se istraživanja koja govore o razvoju djece u LGBT obiteljima uključujući pitanja kao što su rodna uloga i rodni identitet djece, seksualna orijentacija djece, rizična ponašanja djece LGBT roditelja kao i odnosi s vršnjacima. Dodatno u radu su prikazana istraživanja vezana uz stavove LGBT roditelja prema svojoj djeci kroz roditeljsku sliku o djetetu, njihovo viđenje psihosocijalne prilagodbe djece, roditeljsku brigu za djecu i roditeljske ciljeve za djecu. U završnom dijelu govori se o potrebnoj podršci LGBT obiteljima, dostupnosti takve podrške te diskriminaciji koju ove obitelji doživljavaju i ulozi socijalnog rada u segmentima podrške LGBT obiteljima.

Abstract (english)

The parenting of LGBT population is an important subject which is becoming more and more present in media and political discussions. This paper will include some of the most important segments of this multidimensional phenomenon. In the first part of this paper, main topic will be the history of LGBT movement, terminology and legislative framework which directly affects many segments of everyday life for LGBT population, especially parenting. The next chapter will focus on LGBT families: different types of LGBT families, the ways for becoming an LGBT parent, and the most common types of LGBT families-same-sex maternal families and same-sex parental families. The next important topic is the analysis of researches on children development in LGBT families with the focus on gender role and gender identity of the children raised in LGBT families, sexual orientation, risky behaviors and peer relations among children raised in LGBT families. Furthermore, analysis of researches on attitudes of LGBT parents towards their children including: parental perception of their children, their view of psychosocial adjustment of their children, parental care and goals for their children. The final chapter will focus on needed support for LGBT families and accessibility of support. Furthermore, discrimination they face and the role of social work considering support for these families will be addressed.
