Abstract

Pijenje alkoholnih pića prati čovjeka, moglo bi se reći, oduvijek. Alkoholna pića ne
samo da su vrlo dostupna i pristupačna, nego je pijenje ugrađeno u običaje i postalo je
općeprihvaćeni model ponašanja. No, zabrinjavajući je podatak kako ovisnost o
alkoholu treća bolest suvremenog čovječanstva, a kad je riječ o ovisnostima smatra se
najraširenijom kroničnom bolešću. Prema tome, cilj ovog rada je opisati proces
liječenja ovisnosti o alkoholu koji se odvija kroz dvije etape: liječenje unutar
zdravstvenog sustava i nastavak liječenja odnosno resocijalizacija u sklopu klubova
liječenih alkoholičara i Anonimnih alkoholičara. Na početku rada ćemo objasniti sam
tijek bolesti i koji su uopće kriteriji da bi se dijagnosticirala ovisnost o alkoholu. Zatim
ćemo se osvrnuti na moguće oblike i postupke liječenja te farmakoterapiju. Nakon što
osoba završi prvu etapu liječenja, najčešće, se priključuje nekoj od organizacija
civilnog društva – klubovima liječenih alkoholičara ili Anonimnim alkoholičarima. U
ovom dijelu ćemo objasniti njihov značaj i ulogu u procesu liječenja, kao i međusobne
sličnosti i razlike u temeljnim postavkama rada i djelovanja. Naposljetku, osvrnut ćemo
se na ulogu i značaj profesije socijalnog rada u procesu liječenja ovisnosti o alkoholu.

Abstract (english)

Drinking alcoholic drinks follows a man it could be said from the time immemorial.
Alcoholic beverages are not only accessible and affordable, but drinking is
incorporated into customs and has become a generally accepted behavior. But worrying
is the fact that alcohol dependence is the third disease of modern humankind, and when
it comes to addiction, it is considered the most widespread chronic disease.
Accordingly, the goal of this thesis is to describe the process of treatment of alcohol
dependence occurring through two stages: treatment within the health system and the
continuation of treatment or re-socialization within the clubs of treated alcoholics and
Alcoholics Anonymous. At the beginning of this thesis we will explain the course of the
disease itself and what are the criteria for diagnosing alcohol dependence. Then we will
look at possible features and treatments procedures and pharmacotherapy. After the
person completes the first stage of treatment, most often, this person joins one of the
civil society organizations - alcoholic-treated clubs or Alcoholics Anonymus. In this
thesis we will explain their significance and role in the treatment process, as well as
their similarities and differences in the fundamental working settings and activities.
Finally, we will look at the role and significance of the profession of social work in the
process of treatment of alcohol dependence.
