Abstract

U suvremenom društvu sve je više aktualna tema izbjeglica, osobito njihov broj koji se svakodnevno povećava. Uz to se povezuju i brojni problemi i rizici, što uključuje i prepreke uključivanja u domicilno stanovništvo. Ovim radom želi se pokazati uloga koju imaju nevladine organizacije u radu s imigrantima, usluge i mogućnosti koje nude, te njihova suradnja s vladinim sektorom. Pri tome, prolazimo kroz zakonske okvire i druge relevantne dokumente koji bitno utječu na njihov rad. Isto tako se nastoji obrazložiti međunarodni utjecaj na rad organizacija, te integracijske programe i psihosocijalnu podršku, pravna pomoć i aktivistički angažman organizacija. Organizacije na čiji smo se rad usmjerili su Centar za Mirovne Studije, Udruga Zemljani – Are You Syrious?, Hrvatski Crveni Križ, Hrvatski Pravni Centar, Isusovačka Služba za Izbjeglice, Rehabilitacijski Centar za Stres i Traumu, Ruke Nade, Društvo za psihološku pomoć te Liječnici Svijeta. Pokazalo se kako je geostrateški položaj Republike Hrvatske od iznimne važnosti, te da unatoč njenoj karakteristici tranzitne zemlje, veliki broj imigranata ostaje. RH zakonski nastoji pratiti regulative EU, no njihova primjena se pokazala sporom i neadekvatnom. Isto tako, navedena je važnost i uloga socijalnih radnika u radu s ovom skupinom ljudi.

Abstract (english)

In modern society the topic of immigrants is becoming more important, especially with their number being increased daily. There are also many problems and risks involved, which includes their inclusion in the society. This paper seeks to demonstrate the role that NGOs have in work with immigrants, the services and opportunities they offer, and their collaboraion with the government sector. In doing so, we will mention legal frameworks and other relevant documents that are significally affecting their work. It also seeks to explain the international impact on the work of the organizations, as well as its integration programs and psychosocial support, legal assistance and activist engagement. The organizations that we focused on onclude Center for Peace Studies, Are You Syrious?,Croatian Red Cross, Croatian Law Center, Jesuit Refugee Service, Stress and Trauma Rehabilitation Center, Croatian Baptist Aid, Psychological Assistance Society and Medecins du Monde. The territorial role of the Republic of Croatia has proved to be of great importance, furthermore despite its characteristic of a transit country, a large number of immigrants still remain. Republic of Croatia is trying to legally follow the regulations of EU, but their implementation has been slow and inadequate.The importance and role of social workers in this field is also highlighted.
