Abstract

Emocionalno zlostavljanje predstavlja najzastupljeniji oblik zlostavljanja budući da se može javiti samostalno, ali i uz ostale oblike (npr. uz fizičko zlostavljanje). Emocionalno zlostavljanje događa se unutar obitelji, daleko od očiju javnosti i zbog toga ga je teško prepoznati i na njega pravodobno reagirati. Također, nužno je napraviti distinkciju između emocionalnog zlostavljanje i emocionalnog zanemarivanja. Mnogi autori koji su se bavili ovom temom ne slažu se u samom definiranju emocionalnog zlostavljanja. Ako dijete ne dobiva pažnju i ljubav od roditelja/skrbnika, ili mu se neprestano prijeti, kažnjava ga se i napušta, ruga mu se, omalovažava ga se, ono je emocionalno zlostavljano. S druge pak strane, emocionalno zanemarivanje je pasivno ignoriranje djetetovih emocionalnih potreba, nedostatak pažnje i stimulacije, te roditeljska nedostupnost u smislu skrbi, nadgledanja, vođenja, poučavanja i zaštite U ovomradu se navode neke karakteristike koje mogu pomoći pri prepoznavanju zlostavljanog djeteta. Neki čimbenici roditelja, djece ili pak njihovog odnosa mogu doprinijeti zlostavljanju djeteta. Posljedice zlostavljanja za dijete su brojne i razlikuju se od djeteta do djeteta, a ovise i o dobi u kojoj je dijete iskusilo emocionalno zlostavljanje, te o načinu suočavanja djeteta sa zlostavljanjem.

Abstract (english)

Emotional abuse represents the most common type of abusing since it can appear on its own and in correlation with other types of abusing aswell(ex. physical abuse). Furthermore,emotional abuse mostly happens within the family, far from others and far from the sight of the public, so it makes it difficult for the communty to recognize it and react to it properly.It is necessary to distinguish emotional abusing from emotional neglecting. Authors dealing with this subject have different opinions about defining this term. If parents are not showing love to their kids, or they are constantly threating them, if they leave their kids to live on their own, if they mock them, or they disrecpect and underestimate them, they are emotionally abusing their children. On the other hand, emotional neglecting is something different. Parents are not paying attention to their children, they are cold and pasive towards them and unreachable when kids need them. In addition to that, this text will mention some characteristics which can help recognize abused children. There are some characteristics of parents and alsorelations with their child, that can cause abusing too. There are many consequences of abusewhich differ from child to child, and are also associated with the age of the child experiencing emotional abuse, and at the same time with ways of dealing with it.
