Abstract

Trudnoća je specifično razdoblje u životu žene kojem se posvećuje posebna pažnja. U ovome radu fokus je stavljen na nesretno okončanu trudnoću mladih žena od 18. do 35. godine. Psihosocijalne posljedice prekida trudnoće mogu biti olakšanje, ali i depresija, posttraumatski stresni poremećaj, anksiozni poremećaj, samoubojstvo. Zajednička posljedica prekida trudnoće kod spontanog i induciranog pobačaja je tugovanje. Tugovanje uključuje niz tjelesnih i duševnih posljedica kod osobe koja je izgubila nekoga s kim je emocionalno povezana, a intenzivnije reakcije tugovanja javljaju se nakon prekida trudnoće u drugome i trećem tromjesečju, dok se dublje i odgođeno tugovanje javlja nakon induciranog pobačaja. Zbog navedenog, mladim ženama je potrebna podrška u procesu tugovanja nakon prekida trudnoće. Podršku u tugovanju mogu ponuditi bliske osobe primjerice razgovorom o situaciji, praktičnom pomoći, sudjelovanjem u ceremonijama, itd., ali i stručnjaci poput savjetovatelja i/ili psihoterapeuta, bilo individualno bilo u grupama potpore koje okupljaju različite ljude sa sličnim iskustvom. U ulozi savjetovatelja tijekom procesa tugovanja mogu biti i socijalni radnici, dok u ulozi psihoterapeuta mogu biti ukoliko uz matično obrazovanje steknu dodatnu edukaciju iz određenog psihoterapijskog pravca. Uspješno završen proces tugovanja treba rezultirati time da mlada žena nastavi s optimalnim svakodnevnim funkcioniranjem.

Abstract (english)

Pregnancy is a specific period in the life of a woman whic is dealt with special attention. This paper focuses on the unhappy pregnancy of young women from 18 to 35 years. Psychosocial consequences of termination of pregnancy may be relief, but also depression, posttraumatic stress disorder, anxiety disorder, suicide. The common consequence of termination of pregnancy in spontaneous and induced abortion is mourning. Mourning involves a number of physical and psychophysical consequences in a person who has lost someone with whom he is emotionally related. More intense reactions occur after the loss of pregnancy in the second and third trimester, while deeper and delayed mourning occurs after induced abortion. Because of this, young women need support in the process of mourning after a termination of pregnancy. Support can be offered by close persons, for example by talking about situation, practical assistance, attendance at ceremonies, etc., as well as experts such as counselors and/or psychotherapists, either individually or in support groups that bring together different people with similar experience. Counselors during the process of mourning may also be social workers and after additional education from a particular psychotherapeutic course they can also provide support during mourning as an psychotherapist. Successful completion of the mourning process should result in a young woman continuing with optimum daily functioning.
